Dr. Clark’s expertise lies in finding solutions to large-scale problems by combining several areas of study, such as gaming, distributed computing, analytics and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Clark’s innovative approaches to machine learning, analytics, game design and distributed computing has led to multiple publications and invitations to speak at top conferences around the world.
Dr. Clark currently serves as the Deputy Director of Research and Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering for SMU Guildhall. His work in reverse engineering gene regulatory networks, chemotherapeutic comedication property discovery for multidrug resistant cancers, and chemical gene discovery for antibiotic resistance prevention led to appointment as Adjunct Research Associate Professor of Biological Sciences.
As CTO of BALANCED, Dr. Clark utilizes his skills as chief software architect to lead the development of HEWMEN®, a crowd computing platform that combines human perception and unstructured problem-solving skills with raw computational power by utilizing volunteer grid computing integrated into interactive entertainment.
